KEY DATES:
1. During the SECOND class period of the week, we will have a test on the chapter on Monetary Policy (test bank questions) and the chapter on Financial Crises, Panics, and Macroeconomic Policy. You will be asked to write an essay on the nature of financial crises and the correct economic response to them based on this chapter and the article, Economists Agree: Solutions are Elusive.
2. Monday, May 13, May Projects begin.
CLASS ONE: Mike Ross will give the final debrief of the simulation (Round 8) and announce the winning teams. If we have time we will look at the article, The Price of Marriage in China. HOMEWORK: prepare for test on chapters 14 and 15 in Colander and the article, Economists Agree: Solutions are Elusive.
CLASS TWO: TEST. HOMEWORK: please read chapter 16 in Colander on Inflation and the Philips Curve.
CLASS THREE: We will discuss chapter 16. HOMEWORK: please read the chapter on Deficits and Debt up to "Differences between Individual and Government Debt."
CLASS FOUR: we will discuss the reading. HOMEWORK: please finish chapter 17.
